Moe Mondays has unhappy girls for you
Upset girls are often also moe girls. That makes this art by Rococoworks moe to the power of 3.
Ukke - Bookworm with Cat
Having recently adopted a cat, I’m always on the lookout for cute neko pics. This one fits the bill, with the bonus of a bookworm meganeko on top. By Ukke.
Moggling Update: On the Beach in Hawaii
Scrounged up an internet connection, dusted the sand off, and mustered the energy to write a quickie post - I’m on the beach. Chillin. No anime girls with guitars here though! Be back to posting regularly in a few days! Art by Hinata Kyousuke.
1 commentUkke - Burgertime!
Artist Ukke has a very similar character style to Okama (one of my fave artists) I get a kick out of this burger joint waitress with a burger hand-puppet. Eeeeeee!
Chocho Police - Blonde with Glasses
The art of Chocho Police often features sullen catgirls in semi-gothloli attire. But I’m all for blonde cutie girlies in glasses if they feel like drawing them!
vofan - fantasy room
Vofan has some really nice illustrations. This fantasy / imaginary room is full of wonderful details and layers that it draws you in to look at each nuance. Is the fantasy room the world that exists in the computer? Or is it a dream of the girl who fell asleep while on 2ch?
Tony Taka - Girl at Beach
There is a new figure company out there - TC2F (Toranoana & Creators Collaboration Figure) and as you can guess from their name they’ll be working with 2d artists to make their drawings come alive. First up is Tony Taka with a scantily dressed meido girl. Though I have to admit the figure doesn’t look quite right compared to the illustration - something’s weird about the face and hair. I’d buy the sculpt of Kureha over this bikini maid.
Touhou - Aya Shameimaru
I always find it fascinating what a wide range of subject matter ends up being rendered as doujin art. And while art based on games isn’t unexpected, the huge quantity of doujin work based on the Touhou Project (AKA Project Shrine Maiden) is surprising. The Touhou Project is a scrolling shooter game, notable for the sheer insanity of the number of projectiles flying around. The developers, Team Shanghai Alice also put alot of effort into creating personalities for their tiny pixellated girl characters that are dodging those bullets. This particular image is of Aya Shameimaru, a camera wielding newspaper reporter for the shooter girls. She uses her camera as her weapon and defense. Moetron has a write-up with screenshots. I don’t think I could handle it.
Vocaloid - Hatsune Miku

Usually Hatsune Miku from the Vocaloid franchise is dressed up in her teal/aqua techy outfit, leek in hand ready to make some vocoded songs with you. Which is why I found this ultra-spooky drawing of her to appealing. It’s totally different than how you usually see her, and it’s pretty rad!
Happou Bijin - Umbrella Girl

From the artbook “Sweet Body”, this girl by Happou Bijin might look like she’s just having fun tromping around in puddles on a rainy day, but she’s really trying to stomp on that poor frog so that she can milk it’s poison and use it for her deadly blow-darts. Ok, maybe not.
